The first meeting of the 2008/2009 session of the Spey Coast Tenants Forum was held on Thursday 11th September 2008 in Buckie Community High School.

The meeting was constructive and it was noted that various projects agreed by the Forum were either underway or completed.

The Forum still had a budget and it was noted that funds should be allocated before the end of September.

A project for moss removal and gutter cleaning on 19 properties in Crown Terrace, Portgordon was put forward and following discussion it was unanimously agreed that this project should go ahead as this would assist the environment and be of benefit to the people who lived in the sheltered housing complex during the coming winter months.

Members of the Forum had expressed a wish to be involved in computer training.  Gillian Bailley from Moray Council had been invited to attend the meeting and during the meeting formulated a learning plan tailored to meet the expectations of the participants in relation to computer skills.  8 members of the Forum expressed a wish to be involved in this training and it was anticipated that the course would commence on 28th October 2008.

The Tenants Conference was held in Elgin on the 17th September 2008 and a good day was had by all participants.    A date for the 2009 Tenants Conference was confirmed as being Thursday 17th September 2009.

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Forum will be held on Thursday 18th November 2008 at 7.30.p.m in the Community High School, Buckie.
