NEWSLETTER :  JANUARY 2009.

During the later part of 2008 the Scottish Housing Regulator carried out its inspection of the Council’s housing service.  During that time the team members met a number of tenants and one of the inspectors came to our Spey Coast Forum Meeting.    The results of the inspection have now been published and the Council has received good gradings for their housing services.

A article in the Winter Issue of The Voice asked if tenants were interested in having a shower fitted.  This improvements would increase the rent by approximately £1 per week but could possible save money on fuel bills.    Tenants were asked to complete the slip in The Voice and return it to their local housing office or alternatively speak to members of their local Forums.

The Forum did not hold a meeting in January so the first meeting of 2009 will be held in the Buckie High School on Thursday 12^th February at 7.30.p.m and all tenants who wish to participate in the discussions will be most welcome.

Congratulations are forwarded to members of our Forum who are at the moment undertaking Computer Training at Buckie High School and on completion of the first part of the course received a certificate.  The second part of the course has now been commenced; if anyone is interested in joining this group, please contact Jean Walton, Secretary of the Forum.
