SPEY COAST TENANTS’ FORUM NEWSLETTER : AUTUMN 2009 The Forum met for their first meeting of the Autumn/Winter Session on the 10th September 2009 in Buckie High School. One of the major items on the Agenda was the “wish list” for funds to be allocated to the various projects. Various projects have been completed including Moss removal in Tannachy Road and Crown Terrace, Portgordon; replacement fencing in Castlehill Road, Fochabers; replacement fencing in Samson Avenue and West Street, Buckie and heightened fencing in Binview Road, Cullen. Projects now underway and in the process of completion at Fencing in Stynie Road, Findlay Road, Birnie Place and Spey Walk, Mosstodloch; removing all cobbles in Wallace Avenue, Buckie, levelling and tarring an area in Seaview Road, Findochty and landscaping at Graigenroan Corner, Portgordon. The upgrading of the steps in Reid Terrace, Portgordon has been completed. A recruitment campaign is underway as we are desperately short of new members of all the villages within the Spey Coast area; everyone will be made most welcome at our meeting which are held on the second Thursday of each month in Buckie High School at 7.3O.p.m. Our next meeting is the Annual General Meeting and will be held on Thursday 8th October 2009. |
